I have been buying Old Navy outerwear for years. From jean jackets to long winter coats, I’ve always loved that they’re practical enough to keep you warm, yet chic enough to look good. And as someone who wears a size 2XL, there are lots of great plus size options, too. As a sales associate at Old Navy, seeing the latest styles in person is a common perk. And we recently had the chance to check out the latest outerwear for fall 2024 to see which styles are perfect for the colder months. From bomber jackets to classic down vests, keep scrolling for my honest reviews.
relaxed shirt jacket

Relaxed shirt jackets are very chic and stylish and add personality to your outfit. There are three other colors, but I think this one is perfect for fall. It’s very comfortable and I love the relaxed fit. To my surprise, the pocket space was great. You can fit both hands comfortably, so I think you can also fit your cell phone and wallet. The only thing to be careful about is the size around the shoulders and underarms. It’s a little tight, so I think it’s a good fit for a loose fit overall.
relaxing car coat

The Relaxed Car Coat is probably my favorite jacket I tried on. It has a beautiful figure and I like the length. It’s very warm and perfect for fall and winter. This is a long coat, but as someone who is 5’4″ tall, I found the length to be fine. I like the soft material and the way it hugs my body. I did a wear test and decided on the size. I suggest: It will give you more room around your stomach.
faux leather puffer vest

I didn’t expect faux leather puffer vests to be warm, but they are. I wore it with a plush knit long sleeve t-shirt and loved the combination. The synthetic leather material may make it feel tight under the armpits, but the sizing is accurate and it fits like a glove. I like how it adds just the right amount of accent to a casual look, but doesn’t go overboard. Overall, I like the front button because it’s easy to put on and take off.
classic jean jacket

Denim is a fall staple, and this one was very easy to wear. I’ve always had trouble fitting jean jackets, but this jacket’s size was very accurate. I like the room around the armpits and shoulders. Pocket space was also quite substantial. I love that it comes in three other colors if you prefer darker tones.
oversized bomber jacket

You can’t help but notice how soft this material is and how this chic and comfortable bomber jacket hugs your body perfectly. I love how oversized bomber jackets give a relaxed look without being overpowering. Like the puffer vest, it fastens with a front button, making it easy to put on and take off. But the problem is that it’s actually too big. So if that’s not your style, we highly recommend sizing down. Maybe even twice.
