Ask any fashion girl about their fashion trends and they’ll tell you only one thing: new season. It’s a new fashion trend. This time we will introduce fashion trends for fall and winter. But as usual in the fashion world, our first glimpse of clothes, shoes, and what to wear in September (according to a major design company) was back during Fashion Week in February. From bags to jewelry.
If your memory is a little fuzzy (can you blame us for getting distracted by summer dresses, string bikinis, and wedges while the sun shines?), New York, London, Paris, Milan We’re here to show you the biggest looks. . Sure, we may not shop straight from the runway, but luxury fashion is a great way to invest in what you invest in, whether you’re running on a high street budget (us!) or not. It’s a great starting point for thinking about.
The good news this season is that you’re likely already incorporating many of these trends into your wardrobe. Rather than starting from scratch, designers evolved their existing aesthetics, styling classic items a little differently and creating fresh styles that felt significantly more fall-inspired. Just ask the street style set who are already showing off some buzz-worthy outfits.
Get ready to bring oversized jumpers, faux fur coats and knee-high boots back into your life with these seven fall/winter fashion trends you need to know about now.

1. Bohemians are back
You’ve probably heard the news that bohemian is coming back in a big way for Fall/Winter 2024. Bohemian dresses and bohemian jewelry were already a big part of summer wardrobes, and this trend wasn’t one to sleep on. But if you think this look is only for the festival season, think again. Let’s take a look at Chloe’s Fall/Winter 24 collection show. There, FROW, including bohemian queen Sienna Miller, were all decked out in the brand’s Maxim wedge sandals, and models ditched flower crowns for fluffy headbands.
Unsurprisingly, the French design house led the way with its signature aesthetic, a debut collection helmed by Chemena Kamali. Chanel, Zimmerman, Giambattista Valli and Connor Ives also got free rescinded notes. Key takeaway: This is more, like Mary-Kate or Ashley Olsen or Serena Van Der (more frills, more frills, more layers, more accessories). vibe, but rather a modern version of a trend rooted in its 70s origins. 2. Feathers, fur, fluff
While most parts of your wardrobe can change seasonally with a little styling, fall and winter are all about outerwear. It’s no exaggeration to say that it’s worth investing in a new season’s coat or jacket because it works as a whole outfit on its own. And the biggest outerwear trend to know about for AW24 is an emphasis on texture and tactility. From furry oversized collars to floor-sweeping feather capes to the softest faux fur coats, from designers like Erdem, Michael Kors, Alaia, Prabal Gurung, and Bottega Veneta, just to name a few. There was no shortage of inspiration.
Not content with just saving these fabrics for outerwear, feathers, fur and fluff are also used in dresses and separates. After all, when other than the coldest months of the year can you wear heavy fabrics like faux fur without fear of heatstroke? If you’re feeling adventurous, we fully support (and applaud) you, but we know the easiest and most cost-effective way to make this trend a reality is with a coat. cannot be denied.

3. Bubble up
We’re sorry if hearing the words “bubble-up” triggered flashbacks to COVID-19, but we’re happy to report that we’re specifically talking about hemlines here. Admittedly, bubble skirts aren’t new news for AW24, after entering the zeitgeist last season and being championed by the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Selena Gomez, and Cindy Kimberly. Fortunately, they’re here to stay.
Instead of relegating the summer staple to the back of your wardrobe, look to new ways to style them fresh. Molly Goddard paired bubble hems with similarly voluminous separates, Conor Ives layered minis over trousers, and Cecily Bahnsen added sheer stockings and chunky ankle boots for a floaty look. It created a contrast with the uniqueness.

4. Countryside Core
Coined by Pinterest, “Eclectic Grandpa” made waves earlier this year when it was named one of the platform’s 2024 trend predictions. This aesthetic refers to stylish older men who have invested in quality items that will last a lifetime. – It’s certainly an atmosphere that is difficult to recreate overnight.
However, using the eclectic grandpa as a starting point, the AW24 runway also showed layered silhouettes that incorporated knitwear, tweed and corduroy (key symbolism of the trend) with a slightly more sophisticated and feminine finish. Plaids and checks collided with argyle prints at Anna Sui, scarves wrapped around the head at Burberry, and deconstructed cable-knit capes contrasted with sheer billowing skirts at Fendi. So Claudia Winkleman in her traitor costume (fingerless gloves work, not a cape or a heart) is our unofficial poster girl.

5. Leopard print
Then Ganni’s tie-front, puff-sleeve leopard print blouse and trousers were all the rage in SS24 (and then ASOS’s camo, which was almost identical but cost less than £30…) I heard leopard print was all the rage. , you’ll be thrilled too. It is also the mainstay of the AW24 runway. That’s thanks to the likes of Zimmermann, Versace, and Dior, whose flamboyant animal prints graced coats, dresses, and catsuits alike. While most designers stuck to the classic brown color scheme, preferring realistic iterations over abstract interpretations, Alexander McQueen also featured a bold red color scheme.
If leopards aren’t your thing, but you want to tap into the animal aesthetic, Isabel Marant’s snake print and Jacquemus’ black and white zebra stripes also emerged as microtrends for AW24. This fall, choose your pack and get ready for a walk in nature.

6. Look at the leather
When the long, hot summer ends and the mercury begins to drop, the first thing we reach for is our trusty leather jacket. Similarly, straight-leg leather pants have become a winter wardrobe staple. Up until now, we have focused on black, a muted tone that goes well with anything, but for AW24, we have added authentic colors to the leather. At Emilia Wickstead, shredded leather dresses and longline trenches appeared in shades of merlot and navy blue, Gucci showed off mustard shades and olive green, and Gabriella Hearst in a shimmering gold leather bustier dress (literally) ) attracted attention.
The designer opted for the tried and true black leather, but the garments featured additional embellishments such as a ruffled collar by David Koma and a floral screen print by Yuhan Wang. Yes, this leather is made to stand out.

7. Being constricted
Among the Y2K trends making a comeback, waist belts are the latest and perhaps the easiest to incorporate into your everyday wardrobe. (Needless to say, for those who lived through the first era, I feel sorry for the cargo pants). There are no real rules to follow when it comes to style. Ralph Lauren opted for a thick brown belt with a statement buckle, while Chloé’s sculptural gold chain link design adorned the models’ hips.
Similarly, in terms of position, Balmain and Saint Laurent preferred a snatch waist that tightens the waistline, compared to Rabanne’s lower waist. Loewe, on the other hand, incorporated XL buckles and trailing straps into cut-out dresses, making the modest belt the central focal point. Yes, belts do more than just hold your pants together this season.
