Business success story Jane Lu shared an awkward job application from a Gen Z applicant that looked like it was written by an AI.
Lu, who founded the popular online fashion retailer Showpo and was a panelist on Channel 10’s Shark Tank, recently received a job application to support her business course.
But executives who read it couldn’t help but notice a cacophony of blatant errors scattered throughout the application.
Lu likens this to “copying and pasting ChatGPT.”
“I think this is potentially the worst job application ever,” she said in a Tiktok video.

Other important details were left blank throughout the document, such as skills related to “specific projects, courses, or initiatives,” further suggesting that this applicant failed to proofread before submitting. .
To make matters worse, you forgot to remove some of the prompts generated by your AI platform at the beginning of your applicant’s cover letter.
“This is a more polished and clear version of your cover letter,” the cover letter said, shocking Lu.

Who is Jane Lu?
Fashion guru Jane Lu started web fashion retailer Showpo in 2010 in her parents’ garage.
Since then, the company has grown into a major global company.
The idea for Showpo was born out of Lu’s dislike of dragging herself to stores when she needed new clothes.
