The winners of this year’s prestigious Pent Awards were announced at a live gala ceremony held at Magazine London on Friday 25th October, with projects in the Body, Health and Beauty categories winning.
The 2024 competition, now in its 18th year, received more than 2,000 entries from 62 countries across five continents, with China, Japan and the UK winning the most awards in the body, health and beauty categories.
The platinum award in this category went to Aizome Wastecare from Serviceplan Group SE & Co. KG (Germany). This Japanese startup needed a packaging solution as innovative as its product, which turns industrial wastewater from textile dyeing into skin care products.
The box is made from layered recycled cardboard and can be shipped without additional packaging, with a dot and line design inspired by the biochemical formula representing the Japanese “Ai”, “Flow”, and “Ji”. The system is distinctive. The packaging is also printed with plant-based inks, and each sheet uses data to illustrate plant-based dyeing and its reinvention.
Designed by the US establishment to challenge boring norms, the Sarah Creal makeup line for women over 40 successfully appealed to that demographic in a sophisticated yet fun way, earning it a Gold Award. I received an award.
