For those who are confused by jargon like “hot girl summer” and “low key,” this is the perfect assist.
A new study suggests that many older people don’t understand Gen Z slang.
And many Gen Zers are put off when middle-aged people use slang incorrectly.
Meryem Tom, UK country manager for Amazon Alexa, said: “Alexa is ready to answer any question, including keeping up to date on the latest jargon.”
“According to our research,
“Many people still have trouble keeping up with Gen Z lingo, and we hope that Alexa’s new features will be a trusted source of knowledge for anyone looking to refresh their Gen Z vocabulary.”
Meanwhile, the Echo Spot has been revamped with a colorful display that focuses on its basic function as a trusty alarm clock.
The new product will be available for a limited time on Prime Day this week.
Users can choose from a variety of custom designed clock faces to match the style of their room.
This is the second version of the Echo Spot.

Despite being a basic function, alarms are one of Alexa’s most popular features, used tens of millions of times every day.
There are four alarm sounds available: Aurora, Daybreak, Endeavor, and Flutter.
If you want to get a little more sleep, you can tap your Echo Spot to snooze the alarm.
There are six display color themes available – orange, violet, magenta, lime, teal, and blue – and you can mix and match the colors to suit different clock faces.
