Buying designer brands often requires saving up a lot of money and spending hours trawling vintage stores and second-hand websites in search of bargains on Burberry, Chanel or Dior pieces.
But when those searches prove fruitless, they turn to designer knock-offs: ASDA’s stunning quilted jacket is very similar to Burberry’s design, but at a cheaper price.

Camel quilted jacket, £10 (was £16), ASDA
ASDA is selling a camel quilted jacket for just £10, down from £16, with shoppers rushing to snap it up.
The ASDA quilted jacket is very similar to Burberry’s Cropped Quilted Thermoregulated Barn Jacket, which costs £990, so considering you’ll save £980 on the former, it’s a no-brainer.
This camel quilted jacket from Asda is super chic and perfect all year round, especially when the seasons change and it’s still a dull, overcast, rainy and windy summer’s day – quintessential British weather.
The ASDA Quilted Jacket features the same diamond-like quilted texture, giving the outerwear a premium feel and providing extra warmth with extra padding.
The sleeves are long but raglan rather than Burberry’s fitted style, although the description says it has a regular fit.
We love a boxy fit or something oversized, and are more likely to layer it under a jacket, so ASDA’s designs appeal even more to us.
The ASDA jacket is made from a lyocell and cotton fabric, which makes it incredibly soft, durable and suitable for machine washing.

The main difference, aside from the price, is that the ASDA design has a higher funnel neck rather than the cord-detailed collar of the Burberry jacket.
ASDA’s design also features a zipper and press stud button fastening, which is also featured on Burberry’s jackets.
But the main difference is that Burberry’s buttons are eye-catching, while ASDA’s are camel coloured and look a little more subdued. This is another great addition to our fashion wishlist.
The ASDA jacket has slip pockets on the sides, while the Burberry design has patch pockets on the sides, so your hands go in through the top rather than the sides.
It’s a small detail, but a subtle difference.

Cropped Quilted Thermoregulated Burn Jacket, £990, Burberry
Burberry’s Cropped Quilted Thermoregulated Burn Jacket also retails for a lot more.
This shirt from Burberry is made with 37.5 temperature regulating technology, which keeps the wearer warm while still allowing for breathability and airflow.
Both jackets are equally wearable: layer the jacket over a classic jeans and t-shirt combo and pair with western boots, trainers or the ever-popular ballet pumps.
Alternatively, you could pair it with an LBD, sandals or a nice Mary Jane pump for a classy look, weather appropriate and of course a designer handbag from your favourite high street retailer, perhaps the Celine dummy bag from M&S that made us do a double take.
In winter, layer this outerwear piece with a roll-neck jumper or top off the shirt with a sleeveless knitted tank top, tailored trousers, loafers or boots for extra warmth and protection from the elements.
However, you’ll need to hurry if you want to buy one as ASDA jackets are selling out fast.
It’s usually available in sizes from extra small to extra extra large, but sizes have sold out – although it’s worth noting that ASDA is advising shoppers to buy one size up.
Shoppers are raving about the design, with one person commenting: “The quality, style and colour are fantastic. The pockets are a little oddly placed but it’s ok. It’s lightly padded so perfect for spring and summer.”
Another review said: “I love this jacket. It’s exactly what I was looking for.”
Another shopper added: “This is such a great jacket, so happy with the quality and fit. It feels so premium it’s hard to believe it was bought from the supermarket!!”
