A chat between Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg at the SIGGRAPH 2024 conference in Colorado on Monday took an unexpected turn. The conversation started out as standard — Huang spoke positively about the power of Nvidia GPUs and Zuckerberg talked about the future of AI chatbots — but ended with Huang and Zuckerberg exchanging custom jackets, a conversation reminiscent of a meme that went viral earlier this year. “It’s black and leather and shearling,” Zuckerberg said of the coat he brought for Huang. “It’s got vibe. Buy this guy a chain.” Image credit: Nvidia Huang gifted…
The Golden State Warriors have clearly been at the forefront of setbacks thanks to the new CBA rules, after spending big money for years to assemble the best, most competitive roster possible.Over the past seven seasons, the Warriors have led the NBA in payroll three times and finished second three times. The Mortal Kombat video games tell players to “test your mettle,” but the upcoming Mortal Kombat movie may test fans’ patience. Mortal Kombat 2, the sequel to the 2021 live-action film, will finally feature fan-favorite character Johnny Cage, played by Karl Urban (The Boys, Lord of the Rings). However, as reported by Screen Rant, cast member Lewis Tan has said the character may be “not what people expect.” Tan, who played Cole Young in the first film, promised that Urban’s Johnny Cage will be “really special.” Tan was at San Diego Comic-Con to promote his role as Shatterstar in Marvel’s…
Crunchyroll continues to pave its way into the entertainment industry with its continued success as an anime streaming service and production company. But one of the most popular anime TV series of the spring 2024 season helped the anime giant achieve the impossible: growing its Gen Z audience with “pre-order” programming. The global premiere of “Kaiju No. 8” boosted Crunchyroll’s younger-skewing viewership at a time when major TV networks and streaming services are struggling to attract new viewers and retain existing ones, according to The Wrap. “What anime has really brought about is a resurgence in subscription viewing,” Crunchyroll COO…
