In August, Black Fashion Fair, founded by Antony Gregory, teamed up with the Brooklyn Museum to curate Museum World Tour, a series of art, culture and performance events funded by the iconic streetwear brand FUBU and its founder Keith C. Perrin.

To celebrate FUBU’s 30th anniversary, the two brands have launched a 36-piece capsule collection that pays tribute to the past and future of streetwear.

“Collaborating with FUBU on this collection meant revisiting the archives. For me, this was about history and contributing to a legacy of promoting Black fashion, style and culture,” Gregory said.

The campaign images were shot by world-renowned photographers Ahmad Barber and Donte Morris, aka AB+DM Studio. Gregory and the founders referenced the red and black color scheme of FUBU’s early lines, adding accents of pink and yellow. The collection features pieces that capture the essence of ’90s streetwear staples, reimagining the era’s staple sports jerseys and tracksuits for the next generation. It also includes co-branded crystal cut tees, sweatpants and sweatshirts.

“FUBU’s 30th anniversary marks a milestone moment for us, but most importantly, for our longtime fans and the community the brand has inspired over the years. We partnered with Black Fashion Fair, and specifically Antoine Gregory, because we were drawn to his unique vision and the work he and his team are doing to create experiences that support the ideas and continued growth of Black designers and Black-owned brands,” the FUBU founders explained in a statement. “This is what we’ve been striving for since day one, so it’s an incredible honor to work with someone like him. FUBU’s ‘For Us, By Our Hands’ is as relevant today as it was 30 years ago, and Black Fashion Fair enhances that even more. We’re grateful for this partnership and that Black Fashion Fair has become part of FUBU’s history and story.”

Prices range up to $292. The collection will be available to purchase from November 18, 2022 at blackfashionfair.org.
