Fresh off its one-year anniversary, Black Fashion Fair (BFF) has released its first-ever limited edition publication, “Volume 0: Seen.” Created in partnership with eyewear company Warby Parker, the nearly 200-page glossy explores Black expression, focusing on Black style and culture, and the stories of famous and lesser-known fashion designers redefining the image of Black fashion around the world.

This special edition furthers BFF’s mission. Antoine Gregory, brand director of contemporary clothing brand Theophilio, founded the website to unearth and support Black designers and brands from the past and present by documenting and preserving their work. “These pages are about the power of collaboration and community,” says Gregory, who also serves as editor-in-chief of Seen. “As we continue to create references for the future, Black Fashion Fair becomes our own institution of exhibition, discovery and research.”

Top models Maria Borges, Joan Smalls and Aleya Ali grace the magazine’s front cover, while Jamaican model Sabrina Nugent appears on the digital cover. Designers featured include Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pierre Moss, Edvin Thompson of Theofilhoo, Rebecca Henry and Aqua Shabaka of House of Armour, and Sergio Hudson of his eponymous label. The photos were styled by Gregory and shot by photographers Amber Pinkerton, AB+DM and Quil Lemons. The pages are filled with essays and interviews by industry veterans, including renowned fashion designers Grace Wales Bonner and Byron Rath, model and activist Bethan Hardison, and writers Brooklyn White, Scarlett Newman, Ricki Bird and Bianca Betancourt.

Volume 0, “Seen,” is $95, while the limited edition acrylic box set and photo prints are $300 and will be available for purchase at blackfashionfair.org and at Mulberry Iconic Magazines stores in New York City during New York Fashion Week.
