Blake Lively takes a witty swipe at ‘Millennials vs. Gen Z’ makeup hacks
Blake Lively is flashing back to her high school days when she tried a wild hack to get plump lips!
In an Instagram Story on Tuesday, Oct. 29, the Seraph of the End actress looked back at what millennials used to do to make their lips look “bigger,” while also sharing her take on Gen Z makeup. We shared two stories of embracing generational change while experimenting with hacks. ”
In the first story, the actress wore glamorous makeup with her hair tied back and glossy, full lips using Gen Z makeup techniques, apparently taking a selfie in her bathroom. .
“@cgonzalezbeauty uses Gen Z eyeshadow lip tricks to make her lips look bigger…” Lively captioned the snap.
“But then…” the Green Lantern actress continued as she removed her makeup.
Then came the second story of Lively’s no-makeup face. Blake Lively has revealed the shocking trick she used to plump up her lips in high school, captioning a witty photo.
“Wash off the makeup and embrace the fact that you’re a millennial girl. We thought it was a bad idea to wear lip gloss with shocking amounts of chili pepper in high school to plump up. Because I was committed,” the actress wrote.
Blake Lively quipped at the time, referring to the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s hottest chili pepper, saying, “Turns out eyeshadow is a lot less painful than the Carolina Reaper.” Ta.
She thanked her makeup artist, joking, “Thank you @cgonzalezbeauty for not turning my mouth into an episode of Hot Ones.”
For those who aren’t familiar, Hot Ones is a popular YouTube series that features celebrities eating chicken wings with varying degrees of hot sauce.
On the personal front, Blake Lively recently celebrated her 48th birthday with a Broadway musical show before joining Taylor Swift’s Elas Tour with husband Ryan Reynolds.
