Successful businesswoman Jane Lu has slammed Gen Z job applications, calling them the worst she’s ever received.

In a TikTok clip that has been viewed more than 54,000 times, an Aussie Shark Tank panelist receives an application for a position supporting a business course.

Lu couldn’t help but notice a consistent error. This suggested that it was copied and pasted directly from ChatGPT.

“I am confident in my experience [relevant experience/skill] positioning me as a strong candidate,” the filing reads in part.

The cover letter also included the line, “This is a more polished and clear version of your cover letter,” which reinforced Lu’s belief that it came from the popular AI bot.

“[They]copied and pasted this and it’s like half-filled,” she said with a shocked laugh.

She concluded her revelation by encouraging prospective applicants to use their heads.

Comments from fellow TikTokers quickly flooded the clip, and it appears that the use of ChatGPT has become commonplace.

One person wrote, “Someone sent me an application for a ‘medical office position’. They were hiring an airport worker for an airline,” while another wrote, “Come on Benjamin, you’re better than that. It’s excellent,” he added.

Meanwhile, one hopeful commenter said, “My hope is that he downloaded the template and accidentally sent you the template instead of the finished copy. But I’m not betting on that. ” is written.

Despite the alarming rise in the use of ChatGPT and some people worrying about the future of work, recent research from Jabra found that just under a quarter (23%) of UK workers The percentage of people using AI in the workplace was similarly low. (25%) use it in their personal life.

This comes after UK business leaders reported high levels of trust in AI (70%), and believe leaders have the vision and skills needed to effectively deploy AI at scale. There are serious questions about whether we have.
