Friday, July 19

“Center Aging Friday Tea Time” will be held on Zoom at 2pm. This is a social time for older LGBTQ+ adults. Guests are encouraged to bring a beverage of their choice. For more information, please email us. [email protected].

Go Gay DC will host an “LGBTQ+ Community Happy Hour” at 7pm at Puro Gusto. This event is a great way to make new friends, network professionally, share ideas, and build community. The event is free and more details are available on Eventbrite.

Saturday, July 20

Go Gay DC will host an “LGBTQ+ Community Brunch” at 11am at Freddie’s Beach Bar & Restaurant. This fun weekly event brings together the DMV area’s LGBTQ+ community and allies for good food and conversation. Attendance is free and details can be found on Eventbrite.

The “LGBTQ People of Color Support Group” will meet on Zoom at 1 p.m. This peer support group is a place for LGBTQ people of color to come together and talk about anything that affects them in a safe, non-judgmental space. For more information, visit thedccenter.org/poc or facebook.com/centerpoc.

Sunday, July 21

Go Gay DC will be hosting an “LGBTQ+ Dinner” at Federico Ristorante Italiano Freddie’s Beach Bar & Restaurant starting at 6:30pm. Come enjoy an evening of Italian-inspired food and conversation with other LGBTQ+ people. Attendance is free and details are available on Eventbrite.

Go Gay DC will be hosting an “LGBTQ+ Funday Social and Games” at Moxy starting at 3pm. This event is the perfect way to make meaningful new connections, build an informal community, or just unwind and enjoy a group happy hour. Games will include Monopoly, chess, checkers, Jenga, and many more. Attendance is free and more details can be found on Eventbrite.

AfroCode DC will take place at Decades DC starting at 4pm. The event will feature non-stop music, dancing, a fun atmosphere, and a mix of genre crossover and culture. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased on Eventbrite.

Monday, July 22

Centers Aging: Monday Coffee & Conversation will be held on Zoom at 10am. This is a social time for older LGBTQ adults. Guests are encouraged to bring a beverage of their choice. For more information, please email us. [email protected].

“Queer Book Club” will meet on Zoom at 6:30pm. The club meets on the 4th Monday of every month to discuss queer books by queer authors. This month’s read has not yet been announced. For more information, please email us. [email protected].

Tuesday, July 23

Pride on the Patio Events will be hosting an “LGBTQ Social Mixer” in the Showroom starting at 5:30pm. Dress code may be casual, flashy or comfortable. Guests are encouraged to be their true selves, chat, laugh and do some crazy things. Admission is free and more information is available on Eventbrite.

The Coming Out Discussion Group will meet at 7pm on Zoom. This is a peer-facilitated discussion group that is a safe space to share experiences with coming out and discuss topics related to coming out. For more information, visit the group’s Facebook page.

“Genderqueer DC” will be held on Zoom at 7pm. This is a support group for anyone who identifies as bigender, agender, genderfluid, or other than 100% cisgender. Email us for more information. [email protected].

Wednesday, July 24

Job Club meets at 6pm on Zoom. It is a weekly job placement programme to help jobseekers and job seekers, including the long-term unemployed, to build confidence, motivation, resilience and productivity for effective job searching and networking. Participants progress from being just “applicants” to being “candidates”. For more information, please email us. [email protected] Or visit thedccenter.org/careers.

The “Asexual and Aromantic Group” will meet at 7pm via Zoom and in person at the DC LGBT Community Center. This is a place where people who are questioning this aspect of their identity or who identify as asexual and/or aromantic can come together to share stories and experiences and discuss a variety of topics. Thursday, July 25

Virtual Yoga with Charles M. will be held on Zoom at 7pm. It’s a free weekly class focusing on yoga, breathwork, and meditation. For more information, visit the DC LGBT Community Center website.
