The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has announced the tentative schedule for New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Spring/Summer 2025. The American Collections will officially kick off at Area on Friday, September 6th and conclude with 2023 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Honoree Melitta Baumeister’s collection on Wednesday, September 11th, 2024. The excitement is palpable as the fashion community prepares for a week full of innovative designs and groundbreaking presentations.
The tentative schedule has more than 60 confirmed runway shows and designer presentations, with additional collections to be shown digitally and by appointment. Returning brands include some of the fashion world’s most respected names, including 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alejandra Alonso Rojas, Andrew Kwon, Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera and Coach. In addition to these established designers, designers such as Collina Strada, Delpozo, Diotima, Echoes Latta and Jason Wu will also be taking part, ensuring a diverse and vibrant week that celebrates both tradition and innovation.
This season, brands such as COS, Cynthia Rowley, Simkhai and Who Decides War will return to the New York catwalks. Ralph Lauren and Proenza Schouler will preview their collections just before NYFW, building anticipation. The CFDA is especially excited to welcome international guests such as Off-White, Ronald van der Kemp and Totem, who will be showing their collections in New York for the first time, marking an important moment of cross-cultural exchange and creativity.

Adding to the schedule for the first time are emerging designers Advisory, Campillo, Michael Fausto, Salon 1884 and TWP. The addition of these brands underscores NYFW’s commitment to nurturing new talent and providing a platform for fresh voices in fashion. This season also celebrates the 20th anniversary of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, with current finalist brands such as 5000, Grace Ling, Kate Barton, Jane Wade, Presley Oldham, Sebastien Ami and Wiederhoeft presenting their latest collections during the week.
Launched in 2022, the CFDA NYFW Travel Fund continues to support international editor presence and increase NYFW’s global reach. Now in its fifth season, the fund has supported nearly 40 international editors through financial and in-kind support from brand donations and strategic partnerships. This effort not only highlights the cultural and economic importance of NYFW, but also strengthens the relationship between global media and American designer brands.

CFDA Director of Fashion Week Initiatives Joseph Maglieri emphasized the importance of NYFW as the epicenter of American fashion. “NYFW continues to be the home for showcasing the best of American fashion, and this season boasts a strong lineup of established and emerging brands experimenting with forward-thinking ways to present their collections. To further enhance an already vibrant week, CFDA is taking further steps in response to requests for improved logistics and strategy that benefit both brands and attendees. We are proud of our September schedule, which represents the many people who make the week happen – designers, brand leaders, communications and media teams, show producers, casting directors and more,” he said.
