Ryan Reynolds has been filling his entire press tour for Deadpool and Wolverine with quality, well-built menswear. Last week, he appeared on “Good Morning America” in a pastel pink suit by Officine Generale. He also wore four (!) oversized Bode shirts, including one that wasn’t even available in retail at the time. So is it all that shocking that his love of the Holy Grail would translate to an actual movie? No, it’s not.
We won’t go into full spoilers here, but there’s a scene in the latest Deadpool movie where our favorite anti-hero is surrounded by his loved ones. It’s a sweet moment. A sweet moment! But what made it even sweeter and sweeter was the cool coat that was front and center.

Known as the Ba-Tic Light Jacket, this jacket comes in a bold green colorway that is finished with a special overdye technique. The fabric is primarily cotton, but is coated with a dry emulsion wax that gives it a very unique crinkled look. It features two gigantic flap pockets on each side and a hidden zipper across the entire front of the outerwear. So, what is the brand behind this ultra masterpiece? Judging by the lens badge on the left arm, it’s clearly a CP Company masterpiece.
Founded in 1971 by Massimo Osti (who also founded Stone Island), the Italian clothing brand originally produced military uniforms. But in the late ’80s, CP Company’s legendary goggle jacket caught the attention of fashionistas around the world, quickly becoming something of a status symbol among soccer fans in the Netherlands and England. Soon, the goggle jacket’s lens detailing was incorporated into other items from the label, including beanies, sweaters, joggers, and of course, Deadpool’s coat.
