Trump is good at manipulation.
The Great Manipulator and Deceiver Donald, a.k.a. Donald J. Trump, is a tireless worker when it comes to manipulating public opinion.
He knows that the key to manipulating the masses is to do the same thing over and over again — a skill he’s mastered as both a manipulative conman and an entertainer — and, of course, has been well-practiced over the past eight years.
Donald the Deceiver has no sincerity or loyalty. Again and again, he promotes those who support him, whether they are staff or public figures. As long as they are loyal, he praises them. But the moment they are neutral or question his greatness, the compliments stop. The moment they fearlessly speak out what they know to be true about Trump’s character and actions, the ad hominem attacks begin.
Despite months, and sometimes years, of loyalty, Trump barely knew them. But this ignorance doesn’t prevent him from thoroughly denounce their character. They were incompetent and lazy. Although they succeeded thanks to Trump’s generosity, they were ungrateful, dishonest, and untrustworthy. In my view, Donald Trump possesses all three of these characteristics in abundance. But it is not uncommon for Donald the Deceiver to push his own shortcomings onto others.
And yet, these terrible traits of these former followers did not prevent them from being hired and staying on for long periods of time. How could that be? Perhaps knowledge and ability in the field was not a prerequisite for getting the job. Perhaps loyalty to the Deceiver was the only prerequisite. After all, how could all these people be great on day X, and then on day X+1, be some of the worst people to have ever set foot on Earth?

I missed the beauty of California
Regarding Dan Walters’ July 24 column, “California Closes Up in Election Campaign”:
In her opinion piece, Walters dug up every negative issue the Trump campaign had, claiming that “California is a cesspit” in a battleground state where residents have little in common.
Walters missed out on all the beauty of this state, including the longest coastline, pristine beaches, and majestic mountains. California is so attractive that it is by far the most popular travel destination for Americans out of the other 49 states.
I recommend to Walters and all others like him that Trump use the following campaign slogan: “Age and betrayal will always triumph over youth and skill.”
