Cleavage has recently been declared “back” in the fashion world, but while many are happy to flaunt their natural curves, they also expose some flesh to achieve the look. Some Australians decide that there is no need to do so.

Ever since popular magazines boldly announced that “crack is back,” catwalks and social media feeds have been flooded with women rocking styles once reserved for traditional fashion and scantily clad celebrities. .

But while various renditions have come and gone over the years, the latest wave of women embracing this style shows that there’s more to it than just flashing their butts.

Australian model Jess King explained that the trend celebrates the female body.

“We’re in a time where we’re seeing different expressions of beauty,” she told news.com.au.

Dua Lipa wore a sparkly dress that exposed the top of her butt.

“I love seeing different women of all shapes and sizes embrace new fashion trends and feel good about themselves.

“I feel empowered when I embrace my body, face life with a smile, and wear clothes that accentuate my curves.”

Donnie Galera, an Australian fashion designer favored by stars, says the butt-baring trend was heavily influenced by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé, and JLo, and the “curves” trend that was popular in the 2010s. He said that it evolved from the praise of

“Over the years, society has moved away from ‘one-size-fits-all’ beauty standards and embraced a variety of body types. As a result, people have become more confident in highlighting their natural features. ” he told news.com.au. .

“Style is about expressing your individuality, and the clothes you wear should make you feel confident. I love how clients feel empowered by showing a little skin or highlighting their curves. I’m all for helping them achieve that if they feel it’s given to them.”

Stars like singer Katy Perry, who wore a red dress that flaunted her butt at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards in March, are comfortable showing some skin, but Some people embrace their looks without showing off their bare butts.

Popular Australian shapewear brand Nancy Ganz recently launched the “Ultimate Backless Strapless Slip,” which provides “cleavage” for those who want to achieve the desired look without throwing away their underwear.

“We wanted to create a solution that provides support without compromising the body’s unique, natural contours,” a spokesperson told news.com.au.

“Our designs focus on accentuating and emphasizing your natural shape, emphasizing your hips with a subtle and flattering exposure, what some people call ‘cleavage.’

“This trend represents a bold step forward in creating pieces that not only sculpt but also celebrate individuality and natural beauty. It’s about embracing what your body has to offer and showing it off with confidence. That’s what I do.”

King, who recently starred in Nancy Ganz’s first campaign, shared a video on Instagram showing off the slip’s booty-enhancing features, leaving followers stunned by its “sculptural” finish.

“I thought I’d wear this little number by @nancyganzau under my clothes on date night,” she wrote.

“My favorite features are the non-constricting and supportive (the best pasta ever) and snap-on opening so I can get naked in the bathroom stall just to pee after drinking too many cocktails.” There is no need.”

She also explained that the product, which retails for $199.95, immediately caught people’s attention.

“It has this design feature on the butt that actually lifts and shapes it, which was the first thing my friend noticed when she wore it for good reason,” she says. told news.com.au.

“This item doesn’t just ‘smooth’ your body like other shapewear designed to make your body look as small as possible. It emphasizes and celebrates your individual curves and shapes. ”

Galera said “next level” trends are definitely coming, adding that it’s great for fashion lovers to have so many options.

“The shapewear industry has also evolved along with this trend, focusing on improvement rather than ‘flattening,’” he said.

“Today, people are not only proud of their curves, they actively celebrate them.

“The desire to accentuate and accentuate fuller butts has become mainstream, with fashion and shapewear featuring designs that lift and support the butt rather than hide it.”
