INNISFIL, ON , July 24, 2024 /CNW/ — Friday Harbour Resort is pleased to announce the highly anticipated return of its Fashion Collective Series, taking place August 16-18 and August 23-25. Developed in partnership with the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA), the Fashion Collective Series celebrates Canada’s top fashion and design talent on the beautiful shores of Lake Simcoe. The summer’s signature event is now in its fourth year and was named a finalist in the Events category at the 2023 Canadian Tourism Awards.

Every Saturday, Friday Harbour’s iconic CIBC Pier will be transformed into a glamorous outdoor runway with live entertainment and fashion from Canadian designers such as Narses, Christopher Bates and Hilary McMillan. Friday Harbour is excited to welcome Fashion Magazine as its media partner for this year’s Fashion Collective series, which will also feature a special presentation from House of Gallagher. Throughout both weekends, attendees can enjoy a variety of activities throughout the resort. A pop-up retail market will sell stylish apparel and accessories from brands such as Rita Tesorin, Vanessa Vinces, Revel, WILYMI Jewelry Company, Isle of My and Easy Mondays.

“We are honoured to partner with CAFA for the fourth consecutive year to showcase Canada’s top talent and continue to establish Friday Harbour as a premier lifestyle destination,” said Hani Rustom, CEO of Friday Harbour Resort. “We are proud to support Canadian fashion and entrepreneurial spirit, bringing creativity and innovation to the South Simcoe region, and we look forward to welcoming residents, the local community and visitors to this unforgettable experience.”

“Our ongoing collaboration with Friday Harbour has allowed us to increase awareness of Canadian designers, retailers and brands,” adds CAFA President Vicki Milner. “Friday Harbour provides a fantastic platform to highlight our excellent existing and emerging talent, giving them the opportunity to engage with new audiences.”

The Fashion Collective Series is open to the public and offers both free programs and special ticketed experiences. A portion of ticket sales this year will support the Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI), a non-profit organization that provides early- to mid-stage entrepreneurs with access to resources to help them achieve and sustain success in the fashion industry.
