Getting new nails is the best way to reset your look. Whether you visit the nail salon every two weeks or just occasionally for a change of pace, it pays to keep up with the latest nail salon trends. The latest nail design in vogue? “Fruit salad” nails.
“It’s a trend that features fruit-inspired nail art,” manicurist Maz Hannah tells PS. “It’s been getting a lot of attention on social media over the past few months.” While fruit nails are a summer staple, fruit salad nails are different because they feature multiple types of fruit. Whether you want to rotate your favorite fruits depending on the season or try a different design on each finger, the possibilities are endless. Below, Hannah shares her tips for recreating the fruit salad nail trend.

What are fruit salad nails?
Fruit salad nails come in many different forms, but they all have one thing in common: they feature a variety of fruits in one manicure. “Usually there’s a different design on each nail, making for a really playful manicure,” says Hannah. “Fruit salad nails are on trend because they’re perfect for summer – they’re fun and colorful.”
How to make fruit salad nails
There are lots of ways to achieve fruit salad nails, but if you’re going DIY, here are a few things to consider. “If you’re not a fan of hand-painting fruit, consider using nail art stickers,” Hannah says. “A great option for nail art stickers for this trend is Deco Beauty’s Fruit Salad Stickers ($12).” Hannah also says that while this trend doesn’t require a specific nail shape, you might consider adding a bit of length. “Longer nails can carry more art,” she says. “That said, any shape works well for this trend, depending on how you go about the design.”
You can also combine this design with other nail trends: Hannah recommends pairing fruit salad nails with aura nails, negative space nail art, and even a French manicure. Keep reading to see some of our favorite versions of fruit salad nails.
