Willow Smith, 23, is making waves not only in the music industry, but also in the fashion world. Known for her bold and experimental style, Willow has successfully transitioned from pop star to fashion icon, recently making a strong debut on the runway. Her latest collaboration with Moncler Genius is turning heads, putting her on par with other major artists such as A$AP Rocky and NIGO.

In a highly anticipated moment, Willow unveiled her new collection at Moncler’s “The City of Genius” installation in Shanghai. While A$AP had Rihanna by his side at the Moncler runway show, Willow received support from none other than her mother, Jada Pinkett Smith. Jada proudly shared her excitement on social media and praised her daughter’s accomplishment. “I’m here with Willow Smith here in Shanghai to celebrate the collection she designed for Moncler’s City of Genius installation,” Jada enthused. “She really stepped up with her designs. Her collections are amazing.”

Willow’s line strikes a balance between comfort and high fashion, featuring oversized puffer silhouettes, loose-fitting garments, and innovative details such as zippers and multiple pockets. Moncler’s “M” is flipped upside down to become Willow’s signature “W,” a clever twist on her signature brand stamp.

Willow wowed the audience as she took to the runway wearing a sleek black leather jacket, matching pants and a white button-down. Jada, 53, accompanied her in a statement-making sleeveless puffer jacket, which turned into a floor-length dress from the collection, showcasing the durability and versatility of Willow’s designs.

In an interview with Highsnobiety, Willow shared the creative vision behind her collection. “I truly believe that any art you choose to create, whether it’s music, fashion, or filmmaking, should come from a deep inspiration and honesty within the artist,” she explained. . For a personal touch, one of Rhyne’s pieces also features lyrics from her song “Alone.”

Drawing inspiration from nature, a central theme in her music and fashion, Willow highlighted how the outdoors influenced her collaboration with Moncler. “I’m extremely passionate about the outdoors and exploring this magnificent planet as up close and personal as possible, so it was important for these pieces to reflect that,” she says. I did. Her vision was to create something as practical as it was beautiful, and she envisioned clothes that could seamlessly transition from “night camping to high fashion evening wear.”

Willow’s aesthetic is based on contrast, striving to combine minimalism and practicality, femininity and masculinity, black and white. “Combining two juxtaposed ideas in an elegant way is something that really excites me, and I wanted to explore that with this collection,” she said.

The Moncler Genius collaboration marks a milestone in Willow’s evolving career. Her ability to transcend artistic boundaries makes her a truly dynamic and influential figure. Whether it’s music or fashion, Willow’s work reflects her creative identity, pushing boundaries while staying true to herself.

Willow isn’t the only Smith with new projects. Her brother, Jaden Smith, explores “young love” in his new music release. His new music comes on the heels of his breakup with model Sabu Zada. And while he hasn’t spoken publicly about the breakup, he said his music speaks to his deeper feelings.

Willow participated in the release of his song and music video “DUMB”. A week after the release of the project, the two celebrated at the cinema. The singer shared a video of himself dancing and singing with Willow on social media. Jaden was excited to share his new music video with his sister. Two more songs will be released on October 18th titled “Gorgeous” and “The Coolest Part 2.” These new tracks are part of his upcoming project 2024: A Case Study on the Long-Term Effects of Young Love.
