Just like Love Island, Jennifer Lopez appears on my feed at the same time (late afternoon) and in the same place (the Hamptons) every day, and her storylines only get more compelling. And by storylines, I mean the narrative of her style. Over the past week, Jennifer Lopez has worn exponentially cooler outfits while biking in the Hamptons. First, a Chanel t-shirt and micro shorts. Then, Ralph Lauren’s paint-splattered white overalls trend. Today, July 23, it’s the Hamptons floral skirt set and fisherman sandals by Mass.

During her bike ride in the Hamptons, Lopez appeared more free and relaxed than ever before, and leaving her heavy, rare Hermes bag behind at her vacation home must have been a literal weight lifted off her shoulders. The “On the Floor” singer’s outfit on July 23 was particularly romantic, featuring an off-the-shoulder crop top and flowing maxi skirt, both covered in black and white floral prints.
Amid rumors of her separation from husband Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez isn’t just embracing carefree, effortless bike riding; she’s also trying out a new shoe trend. The singer, actress, and glossy lip lover is also wearing chunky espadrilles, a twist on the fisherman sandal trend. Dior’s glamorous take on the nautical shoe that’s taking street style by storm this summer features three buckles that climb up to the ankle and a literally tall espadrille sole.

Favorite trends don’t just happen overnight. Jennifer Lopez has made a point of trying out the hybrid sandal on her pedals. A few days ago, she wore the same chunky Dior espadrilles for another bike ride, this time pairing them with a low-cut white dress and oversized sunglasses.

Jennifer Lopez’s Hamptons wardrobe could fit an entire wardrobe department from Nancy Meyers’ Sag Harbor set piece. In addition to her many bike-riding outfits, Lopez dons ruffled maxi dresses and teeny tiny micro-mini shorts while shopping for dresses around town. She pairs these outfits with shoes that are less practical than caged fisherman sandals, like flimsy flip-flops and sky-high wedges. She also works out in blanket-like cardigans for her Hamptons gym sessions, color-coordinated with her Allbirds sneakers.
By this time tomorrow, Lopez will probably be biking past the packed paparazzi in another easy summer outfit, one that lets me feel the wind in my hair and the rain on my skin. In the meantime, I’ll kill time shopping for matching outfits just like hers, hoping to feel that same relaxed vibe.
