It’s a departure from her Hamptons style.
Days after celebrating her 55th birthday with a Bridgerton-themed party in the Hamptons, Jennifer Lopez swapped out her Regency-era wardrobe for a Gen Z staple. Upon returning to New York City, the “On the Floor” singer recaptured the Big Apple aesthetic in super-loose jeans and white tennis shoes.
The multi-talent has been enjoying her summer in the Hamptons amid reports of tension in her marriage to Ben Affleck, and has been showcasing feminine, breezy summer style during her time at the getaway. But on Saturday morning, she returned to big-city power basics as she stepped out in New York City in a blue-and-grey chevron-print blazer teamed with ultra-wide-leg jeans. Lopez paired the double-breasted jacket with a plain white T-shirt and denim pieces that are popular with Gen Z, featuring voluminous legs, a low-rise waistline and buttoned-up front. She accessorized with a boxy nude-colored bag, comfortable white sneakers, large silver hoop earrings and yellow-tinted aviator sunglasses.
The “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” star was all smiles as she left the hotel, coffee in her right hand and an early morning look with her hair in a casual bun and radiant, simple makeup. Though Lopez didn’t celebrate her 55th birthday with Affleck in the Hamptons, she was seen wearing her wedding ring.
The star seems to be leaning towards the baggy jeans trend, having previously rocked a wide-legged look while out in SoHo the previous day. Lopez once again debuted the denim and blazer combo, this time opting for a white jacket with cut-out sleeves. She wore the white blazer open to reveal a white crop top and high-rise oversized jeans underneath. Ultra-high heeled white sandals, large silver hoops, tinted aviators and a sleek ballerina bun gave the outfit a Jennifer Lopez-esque twist.
