Ever wondered how to turn the cut-out trend into something office-appropriate? A fresh twist on Jennifer Lopez’s business casual style is perfect.
Just days after her lavish Bridgerton-themed birthday party, Jennifer Lopez was spotted yesterday in a crisp tuxedo jacket with unexpected design detailing. Rather than a traditional silhouette, the jacket’s sleeves were cut out from below the shoulders to the cuffs. The singer-actress paired the breathable coat with an abs-baring tank top and her favorite flared jeans. For accessories, Jennifer Lopez opted for clear, angular sunglasses, statement hoop earrings, and a black Hermes Birkin bag.
Lopez returned to New York on Thursday after spending the past few weeks summering in the Hamptons, but her wardrobe seemed to have quickly adapted to “The Block”: She put away her floral sundresses and espadrilles, opting instead for high heels, functional denim, and structured outerwear.

Less than 24 hours after donning the cutout jacket, Lopez was at work in a casual-meets-chic look: On Friday morning, she was photographed heading to a meeting in a fitted jacket and loose-fitting denim. She paired the wool coat with a simple white T-shirt, matching sunglasses, earrings, and a white handbag.
If J.Lo’s button-front Gucci jeans seem familiar, it’s probably because they’ve been her latest street style staple: In April, she was spotted wearing the JNCO-inspired jeans multiple times, teaming them with everything from luxe cashmere sweaters to bodycon knit tops.

As a businesswoman herself, Lopez is free to wear whatever she likes when talking about her many business ventures. While coming to the office in a bra top (or even a cut-out suit jacket, depending on where you work) might get you reported to HR, like Lopez does, it doesn’t hurt to spice up your formal attire every now and again.
