After Lil Yachty made some controversial comments about New York fashion, Juelz Santana and Fivio Foreign spoke out against him.
The Atlanta rapper faced backlash after criticizing New York fashion on a recent episode of his podcast, “A Safe Place.”
“Everybody used to copy Atlanta. You said that too,” Yachty told guest Cash Cobain. “You said Atlanta was a huge influence. … As far as style goes, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with New York fashion.”
On Tuesday, Juelz and Fivio responded to Yachty’s comments on their social media pages, with Juelz saying she was incredulous that Yachty claimed trendsetters come from Atlanta, noting that New York is home to many cultural influencers, including his Dipset crew.
“We all love Atlanta, but @lilyachty had this to say about Fry’s [n****s] “N the most trendsetter is from ALT wow love you bro,” Juelz wrote, before naming some of New York fashion’s biggest stars in the post’s caption, including A$AP Rocky, Fabolous, and Jim Jones.
“No love lost but never mind!!!! P.S. @souljaboy disgusting 💨 we all know @jimjonescapo they’re trying to erase us from history won’t even mention our names @asaprocky @myfabolouslife @ceoslow @vado_mh @bloodyosiris @soberyungwalter @whodecideswar @murderbravado,” Juelz said. “Not top class, not 1 on, not the best black high black fashion brand in the game, I’m just gonna stop listening cause N****s only say what they want these days, one more thing, that N**** over there must be from NYC.”

Meanwhile, Fivio simply questioned why Yachty would think someone from Atlanta dresses better than someone from New York, when Yachty himself is wearing clothes inspired by the Big Apple.
“How yachty that Atlanta’s outfits are better than NYC’s outfits. NYC’s entire outfits,” he tweeted.
Following online backlash over his comments, Yachty clarified that he never disrespects New York culture, adding that Wu-Tang Clan and Dipset are the GOATs of fashion.
“When I talk about the history of fashion, I never mean to disrespect New York culture. I love New York culture,” he said.
