INDIANAPOLIS — Taylor Swift, Simone Biles and Indiana native Caitlin Clark all wore clothes by fashion designer Kristin Jusic.
One of sports’ greatest designers, Juszczyk will be involved in racing’s greatest spectacle by outfitting the winner of the Indianapolis 500 with a custom outfit.
Juszczyk was asked by the Indy 500 to design a jacket for the winner and their celebrity guest, American Idol winner and Grammy-nominated singer Jordin Sparks, who will sing the national anthem at the Indy 500 on May 26.

“It’s an honor to create a custom piece for such an iconic event as the Indy 500,” said Juszczyk. “This is the first time my design has been presented to the winner and I can’t wait to see who’ll be wearing it on Sunday!”
This jacket is a vintage racing-inspired piece that pays tribute to the legendary Spin and Win. This historic moment occurred during the 69th Indy 500 in 1985, when racer Danny Sullivan spun and lost control of the pace car. In one of the most memorable moments in sports history, Sullivan regained control and won the race in a storybook comeback.
Juszczyk used products from local store “The Shop Indy” and the store at Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the design process.
“Our Indy 500 collaboration with Christine has been months in the making and we’re excited to share it with the world today,” said Penske Entertainment spokesman Alex Darmon.
“Her design pays tribute to our unique history and tradition, but also has a very contemporary and dynamic feel. This will be an incredibly special and unique piece of memorabilia for an Indy 500 champion. It’s also fun, new and unusual, which we hope will reach a wider audience and generate wider engagement with our brand.”
