ORLANDO | Outpost Neighborhood Tavern is bringing new LGBTQ+-owned restaurant concepts and ideas to downtown, with plans to open near Lake Eola next year.
The new restaurant is the result of a collaboration between business owner Devon Tillman and OUT Sports League commissioner and founder John Teixeira. After previously owning restaurants, Tillman said he is excited to bring this new concept to the Orlando area and create a safe space.
“Our goal is to provide comfort, fun and inclusivity in a vibrant, inviting place where everyone feels at home. Whether you come here or just to relax with friends, you’ll be satisfied with our relaxed atmosphere, great food, and lively drinks,” says Tillman.
Teixeira, founder of the OUT Sports League, said the restaurant can help bring Orlando’s sports community together and create a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community to enjoy their interests with others. Masu.
“We want this to be a place that bridges different communities and a place where everyone feels welcome,” Teixeira says.
The new restaurant offers a large bar seating area, patio space and lounge chairs. Recreational equipment such as cornhole and darts will also be set up in the area to attract those who wish to hold a league in or around the restaurant.
The menu features American-based home-cooked meals and a wide selection of beers, wines, and spirits. Outpost also hosts drag brunches and special events. Read more and watch the announcement video below.
