LuLu India is in the process of increasing its focus on the domestic fashion apparel, accessories and lifestyle market.
Lulu Group, the UAE-based retail conglomerate that sells over 100 fashion, lifestyle and apparel brands through shopping malls and outlets across India, said on Monday that it is positioning itself to gain a larger share of the Indian fashion retail market.
“India is a large market with many leading fashion retailers co-existing. We are continuously expanding our presence in India. We cater to the lifestyle people aspire to through our various retail formats including Lulu Malls and Lulu Hypermarkets,” said Sharif KK, regional director, Lulu Group.
As a precursor to this initiative, LuLu India has brought together a diverse range of brands at LuLu Mall, Bengaluru, including Pepe Jeans, Peter Englad, Amukthi, Crepydon UK, SIN, Louis Philippe, Venfield, Damoza, Levis, Identiti, Jockey, Lavie, V-star, Blossom, Caprese, VIP and American Tourister.
“We have organised a unique fashion show to highlight the fact that fashion is truly for everyone,” said Jamal KP, regional manager, Lulu Group, Karnataka.
According to a company spokesperson, the Lulu Fashion Awards are given to celebrities and brands that have made outstanding contributions to the country’s fashion industry.
“We are planning a three-day event featuring a wide range of fashion, from streetwear to luxury apparel, for all our visitors,” said Kiran Putran, general manager, Lulu Mall.
