Princess Diana’s best outfits are constantly praised and always serve as inspiration for influencers and celebrities, and it’s easy to see why: King Charles’ ex-wife was way ahead of her time with her outfits, from cycling shorts to power suits.

But her handbag collection was actually quite extensive, and included some very exclusive pieces that are still beloved today. She loved them all, first and foremost.
One of the bags that Prince William and Prince Harry’s mother arguably made famous is, of course, Christian Dior’s Lady Dior bag. When it was first conceived, the Lady Dior bag was called a “scrunchie” and wasn’t a very popular item for the brand, but when Princess Diana wore one in 1996, it quickly became an iconic accessory.
The blonde royalty went on to wear many variations of the look, and the dress became synonymous with her. Shortly thereafter, the fashion house relaunched it and renamed it in her honor, and well, you know the rest.
Since then, some of our favorite royal ladies have added the style to their collections. Which is your favorite?
Meghan Markle
Prince Harry’s wife was photographed casually dining out for lunch in Montecito, Calif. on Sunday. In photos published by the Mail Online, the former “Suits” star wore a white shirt with straight-leg jeans and a Lady D-Lite, a miniature version of Princess Diana’s Dior bag.
Queen Camilla
Earlier this month, Camilla wore a pastel pink Anna Valentine dress coat during her royal visit to Wales. She also carried a camel Lady Dior bag, known as the Two-Tone Biscuit & Trench Beige Cannage Lambskin version.
Queen Letizia
Although this is not a Lady Dior bag, the vibe is very similar: Members of the Spanish Royal Family attended an official reception for athletes at the Spanish Embassy in Paris, carrying the same My Dior Top Handle Bag with quilted finish and gold charms.
Lady Kitty Spencer
Lady Kitty Spencer, Princess Diana’s niece, who is often associated with luxury brands like Bvlgari and Dolce & Gabbana, attended the Christian Dior Haute Couture spring/summer 2016 show carrying her aunt’s namesake bag. Kitty has a smaller version with raffia detailing.
