A millennial TikTok user criticized Gen Z clubbing culture, but viewers slammed her for her “going out outfit” which they felt was far worse than their own.
Millennial TikTok user Rae Christine (34) caused a huge uproar online when she harshly criticized Gen Z’s “club culture.”
She especially didn’t like seeing Gen Z women wearing flats or sandals instead of heels at the club.
“I don’t know what’s happening with club culture, but girls don’t wear heels in clubs anymore,” she said.

“Why should we, 34-year-olds, come out of retirement to tell girls how to wear high heels and what heels they should buy when they go out to the club?”
As she continues to vent her issues with Gen Z, she adds that the best part of going to a club is putting on heels and dancing on the couch.
At the end of the viral TikTok, Ray showed off the chunky white stilettos she was wearing to her 32,000 followers.

However, viewers were put off by the “senior citizen” looking heels she was wearing, with many agreeing that she shouldn’t have criticised Gen Z so harshly after seeing what she was wearing.
Despite being bombarded with comments from viewers slamming the TikTok user, she remained calm in her reply.
“That’s not the last granny heel!” one person yelled, to which Ray replied, “Seriously, I never said the heel was a rube heel! It’s a club heel!”
Another commented: “Not Easter heels.”

“LOL! Not concrete block heels,” said a third.
One viewer also described how their generation dresses to go clubbing, saying, “We’re Gen Z. We wear heels to brunch and sneakers to the club.”
Ray’s generational debate about club culture isn’t the only hot topic between Gen Z and millennials.
Earlier this year, TikTok users debated Gen Z’s sock rules, arguing that the only acceptable socks to wear are long socks.
