I was combing through Amazon today and found my favorite The North Face Higher Run running jacket for 30% off, and it’s only $80 right now in their Prime Day sale.
If you’re a fan of The North Face clothing, you already know that this fashion-forward outerwear brand is pretty pricey, but well worth the price – there’s a reason why professional athletes and mountaineers wear the brand.
You might look out the window and think it’s too early to invest in a jacket right now, but this sale won’t last long. This running jacket is perfect for all conditions and works equally well as a lightweight rain jacket or a shell running jacket.

There are some jackets that don’t consider seasons at all, and The North Face Higher Run is one such jacket because it’s lightweight, waterproof, and pairs well with base layers.
If you’re wearing them in the winter, I recommend sizing up to maximize freedom of movement, especially since the women’s model is a closer fit. I wore these pants in the summer while teaching outdoor fitness classes this year, and also last year while hiking in the French Alps in cooler weather.
