Born and raised in Namibia, Scholz is making waves in the fashion industry with his unique designs and meticulous craftsmanship.
Since starting out on this path in 2015 while studying at the University of the Arts in Windhoek, he has gained recognition for his ability to fuse classic and contemporary patterns to create distinctive fashion pieces.

His passion for fashion and innate desire to create beauty began at an early age.

Scholz specializes in evening wear but has also experimented in the casual and ready-to-wear markets, and in recent years he has set his sights on a niche market in Namibia.
We developed the wedding dress market, focusing on wedding dress design and expanding our brand by producing unique wedding dresses for everyone.

The budding designer said his goal in the fashion world is to use his creativity and God-given talent to build a lasting legacy as one of the greatest designers on the African continent and even in the world.

Over the years, he has dressed many famous people and personalities in Africa.

“I’m not sure exactly where it started, but from my first memories as a child, I always knew this was what I wanted to be. Whatever I did, I always wanted to make things pretty,” he said.

The longest dress he has worked on was his first Herero dress, which he says took about 10 months. The dress’ frame was the first of its kind he had ever tried, so there was a lot of trial and error, he says. In the end, finishing the details was one of the finishing touches that took precious time.

Scholz’s designs have caught the attention of celebrities such as South African actress and TV presenter Jessica Nkosi, best known for her leading roles in M-Net-commissioned telenovelas Isibaya, AiAi, The Queen and Lavish, cementing his reputation as a designer who understands how to dress and impress.

“Every piece I create touches and connects me to so many important personalities and moments that I will treasure forever. As for the materials I use, I source from anywhere when it speaks to me,” he said.

Scholz invests significant time and resources into brand development and promotion, using social media as the primary means to further develop the brand.

He recognises the impact of social media in today’s world and says it has surpassed print and television media as the primary means of connecting brands with their audiences and customers.

Moreover, he is active on all major platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

He engages his audience on a personal level and draws them in by introducing them to the Rubert Scholz brand.

“No brand can exist alone. Partnering with other strong brands helps both parties grow. I have worked with brands like Red Bull Namibia and Shell Namibia (Vivo Energy) and I am looking to partner with many more brands,” he said.
