The International Olympic Committee has launched Roblox Olympic World, an immersive virtual experience powered by Visa, for Olympic fans around the world as part of the committee’s efforts to better engage virtual fans, especially Gen Z.
Not only has Roblox partnered with Team USA to bring new experiences to U.S. players, but the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has released Olympic World, a limited-time Roblox game for sports fans around the world to enjoy. The experience includes a variety of features, including an obstacle course called “Obby But You’re Going for Gold,” an Olympic Shop featuring exclusive UGC, mini-games inspired by various sports, and more.
Anne-Sophie Veumard, Managing Director, IOC Television & Marketing Services, said: “The IOC is committed to engaging younger generations and recognises that today’s young people consume media and entertainment in different ways. We have successfully created a virtual environment where users can purchase digital items and enjoy unique opportunities in the spaces where they already spend their time, allowing us to maintain a strong connection with new generations of fans and continue to meet their changing interests.”
One of the educational elements of Olympic World is the Champions Hall, where you can learn about Olympic history in a unique and immersive way. The game aims to promote Olympic values and increase Olympic awareness among the younger generations. In fact, if the game gets 12,500 likes, you will get an exclusive Olympic Bike UGC item.
