Less than a month before the debut of her sixth studio album, “Short and Sweet,” Sabrina Carpenter has released a sugary new fragrance.
The Bucks County-born pop star is teaming up for the third time with Saint Beauty fragrance company to release “Cherry Baby” perfume, which is available online now and will be available in stores including JCPenney, Rite Aid and Walmart starting next month.

Cherry Baby, as its name suggests, has a fruity scent, but also has subtle notes of chocolate, red poppy, peony, vanilla orchid and musk.
“I wanted my new fragrance to be unexpected, luxurious and sophisticated, yet playful and provocative,” Carpenter said in a release. “Cherry Baby is a timeless and alluring scent that will inspire you to express your sexy and seductive side in the best way possible.”
Carpenter’s new fragrance was designed to capture more of the “refined and seductive side” of her previous fragrances in the Sweet Tooth collection, such as the marshmallow-scented “Sweet Tooth” and the dark chocolate-scented “Caramel Dream.” Carpenter’s collection’s candy-inspired scents and chocolate bar-shaped bottle epitomize her childhood memories.
“Growing up in Pennsylvania, I lived just steps from a chocolate factory and would always wake up to the smell of fresh chocolate wafting outside my window,” Carpenter writes on her Fragrance by Sabrina website. “I’ve been so fortunate to be able to share my passion for singing, songwriting, acting and performing with the world, and now I’m so excited to add perfumery to that list. I’m inspired by sophisticated scents with a hint of sweetness, because we all have our own idea of what ‘sweet’ smells like.”
Cherry Baby is the latest achievement in an already busy summer for the “Espresso” singer. Last month, Carpenter released “Please Please Please,” the second single from her upcoming album, and announced her “Short and Sweet” tour, which will hit Philadelphia in October. She also partnered with Van Leeuwen to release an espresso-flavored ice cream line, which has already sold out. Her new album, “Short and Sweet,” hits shelves on Aug. 23.
