Trader Joe’s is the perfect place to fulfill all your niche grocery needs, but the retailer’s beauty and skincare departments are also not to be missed. These stores stock a wide range of affordable products in beautifully packaged products, but some shoppers say some of them are actually knockoffs of more expensive brands. Read on to find out about 7 Trader Joe’s beauty knockoffs that can save you up to $55.

TikTok user Talia Heskett (@TraderJoesTalia) breaks down the must-have alternatives you can buy at your local Trader Joe’s, starting with alternatives to pricey Clinique moisturizers.

“For just $8.99 you can get the Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer! Clinique’s Moisture Surge Intense is $64,” she revealed in a July 14 TikTok.

It’s also the same size (2.5 fl oz), so it’s great value for money – who doesn’t want to save $55 these days?

If you want to wear a face mask at night, Trader Joe’s has that, too.

“For just $6.99, you can get the Watermelon Overnight Face Mask,” Heskett says, “which is a copycat version of Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow. [AHA] Night treatment, $40.”

Heskett touts the Vanilla Lip Mask, which she “really loves” and uses often, which she says is a knockoff of the Vanilla Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask.

The “real” ones cost around $24, but the ones at Trader Joe’s are only $3.99.

SPF is important not just in summer, but in any season, so if you’re looking to save a little on this part of your skincare routine, Trader Joe’s Daily Facial Sunscreen might be worth a try.

“Another product that I use almost daily is the Daily Facial Sunscreen, which is a knockoff of Supergoop’s Unseen Sunscreen,” Heskett says.

Supergoop’s option costs about $38, while Trader Joe’s version is $8.99.

Trader Joe’s carries a wide selection of skin care, makeup and hair care products.

“Trader Joe’s also has Tea Tree Tingle shampoo and conditioner,” Heskett tells viewers, “which, of course, are fake versions of Giovanni Tea Tree.” [Triple Treat] It’s shampoo and conditioner, but it’s a lot cheaper.”

Giovanni’s options are normally $10 each, but at Trader Joe’s they’re less than half that price at $3.99 each.

Heskett also opened up about what she calls “the most popular fake”: Trader Joe’s Brazil nut body butter.

“Of course, this is very popular. [Sol de Janeiro] “It’s the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, which normally costs $48,” Heskett explains.

Trader Joe’s option is “much cheaper,” coming in at just $5.99 a piece.

If you want the $42 Sol de Janeiro Bam Bam Body Scrub, Heskett says you can get that at Trader Joe’s, too.

The grocer is selling the Brazil nut body scrub for $5.99, saving you about $36.
