Fashion fans have been flocking to Marks & Spencer to get their hands on some great value trousers that are perfect for tall women.

Renowned for their ease of wear, these trousers “check all the boxes” in terms of style and comfort.

The Marks & Spencer website describes the trousers as: “Carefully crafted with a high elasticated waist and slight stretch for ultimate comfort.”

And with a price of £17.50, shoppers are rushing to stores to get their hands on it.

Combining classic and contemporary style, these pants have been praised by thousands of fashion fans.

Many people go to the fashion website itself or other online forum sites such as Mumsnet to post reviews.

The wide-leg trousers have been labelled “stunning” by shoppers who praised how they can be worn both dressed up and casually.

One fashion fan called the piece “great” in terms of quality and value for money, adding: “Very smart and easy to wear.”

Others praised the product, saying it was “exactly what I was looking for.”

Shoppers are rushing to buy M&S’s new “glamorous” dresses, which are “perfect for holidays”, “wrinkle-free” and “great for travelling”.

Some fashion fans were left confused by the wide leg look, and took to Mumsnet to share their thoughts.

One person said: “Keep an eye on wide leg trousers being the upcoming trend. Especially if you’re over 50, no skinny or straight pants etc.”

“The M&S stuff is heavily promoted here too.

I ordered a pair online but had to wait as they were out of stock. I received them today.

It’s like I’m wearing 70’s flare pants! The fabric is too thick and it doesn’t suit me. I don’t know if it’s because I’m tall, but it looks awful.

“I think I’ll go back to straight leg jeans, thank you very much. Fashion is great!”

However, not everyone agreed with her and was quick to share positive feedback about the pants and how well they looked on long legs.

One shopper wrote: “I love trousers with flaps at the bottom, plus I’m on the tall side so they don’t show off my waist.”

“But I hated my skinny legs. I didn’t wear pants for 10 years, hiding them when necessary with leggings or yoga pants, which flapped around my ankles.

Some shoppers even bought two pairs of trousers. Photo: Marks & Spencer

Why buy supermarket fashion?

When you’re looking for new items to add to your seasonal wardrobe or updating your basics, you don’t need to wander around clothing stores for hours or scroll online. Just pick a dress or two along with some fruits and vegetables…

Convenience – People are more likely to visit supermarkets more often than shopping centres or downtown areas.

Affordable prices – From basics to high fashion, supermarkets lead the way in affordable fashion that doesn’t look cheap.

They’re more in tune with trends than you might think: with a larger customer database than your average high street store, stores such as ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Tesco are able to respond to market needs and anticipate trends in many more areas than just food supply.

They fit well – fit and length are often decided with modesty in mind, and fabrics are often very practical too, with many being 100% cotton which you can toss in the washing machine without a second thought.

“If you’re used to parsnip-shaped legs, wide trousers will look and feel strange.

“Luckily, there are still plenty of parsnip pants in the shop!”

Another added: “You need to understand better!”

“I have a pair of wide-leg pleated trousers from M&S for work which I love, but I’ve just bought a pair in linen.

“I’m 5ft 7in tall so I’m not short or skinny, but I’m finally getting used to it!”
