EXCLUSIVE: The Blacklist and GLAAD today reveal the story of a Muslim teen summer camp, flying Singaporean children, a post-apocalyptic 2065, British soccer stars, and Bill Shakespeare. GLAAD list announced.
The fourth annual list, which spotlights the city’s most auspicious unproduced LGBTQ-inclusive scripts, has selected 10 finalists from a variety of genres. Among the 40 screenplays selected for the first three GLAAD lists since the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, Ximena García Lecuona’s quartet wrote “Anything’s Possible” and Jared Frieder wrote “Three Months” This is a pretty good company, if for no other reason than that it’s written by Steve Desmond. Michael Sherman’s “Knock at the Cabin” and “Before I Change My Mind” written by Trevor Anderson and Fisch Gliwkowski have all already been released as full-length features.
Fortunately, 13 other scripts from past GLAAD lists are currently in development, and four more have been shot as proof-of-concept short films. In that context, the odds look pretty good for the 10 screenplays on this year’s list and the award-winning and acclaimed screenwriters behind them. Along with that, it’s worth noting that Kryzz Gautier’s Wheel Come Off was on the 2021 blacklist before appearing on today’s 2024 GLAAD list. You can see the full list below.

While there are already a number of diversity lists in existence, the Blacklist is celebrating its 20th anniversary with this year’s main list and will be removed in early December.
