If you’re looking for a winter jacket that looks great, lasts, and actually protects you from the cold, look no further than The North Face Nuptse. This is basically a 90’s classic that never goes out of style. Just ask New York’s Deputy Editor Alexis Swerdroff. She has been wearing the same Nuptse on and off ever since her mother bought her one when she was 13 years old. Twenty-eight years later, it looks just like it did when we picked it out together at Paragon.
(Usually quite expensive) Nuptse is currently 30% off on Shopbop in Swerdloff’s classic all-black colorway, and the design remains unchanged. It’s a water-repellent nylon jacket, filled with puffy goose down (experts say down lasts longer and is slightly warmer than synthetic fill), and has a hood so you can use it when you’re not using it. You can store it away when you don’t have it, so it looks neat. . It has cuffs on the sleeves and two large zip pockets to put your hands in on cold days. Shopbop’s sale ends Thursday, so act fast to stay warm (and apparently cool) for the next 30 years.
