LGBTQ activist and French DJ Barbara Bucci was slammed on social media for “mocking Jesus Christ” at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony on Friday. Several performers, mostly drag queens, performed a “Last Supper” scene at the ceremony, sparking a critical response on social media. Several celebrities, including Kansas City Kicks’ Harrison Butker and former kickboxer Andrew Tate, denounced the event organizers.

The show featured 18 performers seated behind a long table resembling the figures of Jesus and the Twelve Apostles in Leonardo da Vinci’s painting “The Last Supper.” At the center of the show was a woman wearing a large silver headdress similar to the halo depicted in paintings of Jesus. She has been identified as Barbara Bacchi.

“Barbara Bucci is an evil woman who portrayed Jesus in a disrespectful manner during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris on Friday. Sponsors have already started pulling out after her performance insulted billions of Christians around the world,” a person tweeted, posting a video of Bucci after her performance.

“They’re trying to use the public backlash for mocking Christians to cover up this situation…” said another person on “X,” the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“The woman who mocked Jesus Christ at the Paris Olympics is Barbara Bucci, a Jewish woman from a traditional Jewish family,” a third added.

Barbara Bucci is a well-known LGBTQ activist and DJ known for her work in promoting diversity and inclusion within the LGBTQ community. Outside of her musical career, Bucci is actively involved in advocacy, using her platform to raise awareness about LGBTQ rights, fight discrimination, and support various social causes. Her efforts have made her a well-respected and influential figure within the LGBTQ community.
