Durban-born designer Jordan Titus Israel (20) has embarked on a new project, recreating some of the world’s most prestigious ‘red carpet’ outfits, making him nationally and internationally known. It became a hot topic. The costume, which cost between R120,000 and R130,000 and involved a whole “dream team” of Nigerian designers, was recreated by Israel.

The costume was inspired by one of the five looks South African celebrity Bonang Matheba sported at last year’s Miss South Africa pageant grand finale.

Israel says: “The design and creation process was grueling. Over 50 hours, many back sprains, eye strain, hot glue burns, knife cuts, and sleepless nights, but in the end… It was worth it.”

The glamorous “Eagle Queen Dress” has been viewed thousands of times and has been worn by major global superstars including South African singer-songwriter Tyra, American singer-songwriter Chloe Bailey and South Africa’s new Miss South Africa Mia. fascinated me. Le Roux, Bonang Matheba, etc.

This dress was recreated by designer Jordan Israel and worn by fashion model Tessa Israel.

This is a major achievement and a major stepping stone for the fashion industry, which has long been considered a niche market for international design enthusiasts. Only two of these incredible masterpieces exist in the world, one in the Bonang Matheba museum and the other managed by Israel in Durban.

The young designer is the founder and director of an award-winning media company based in Durban that specializes in photography, videography, cinematography, costume design and more, and the creation of this garment is a major achievement for the brand. I believe there is.

“The creation of this beautiful masterpiece shows that the fashion industry can be efficient, yet innovative, creative and imaginative, with very positive results,” Israel added.

The dress costs US$7,000, or roughly between R120,000 and R130,000, depending on exchange rates, and the replica was remade from recycled materials.

“This is an inspiration to everyone and proof that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Perseverance, consistency and a strong spirit are the three ingredients that make great things possible. ” Israel concluded.
