New Chapter: Book
“I wanted to create a piece of me that was accessible and affordable for people who don’t need me to dress for the red carpet,” Law Roach said in an interview with Time magazine. “My career is in a very niche market, but it allows me to connect with people who love me even if I don’t meet them.”
Roach describes his upcoming book as a self-help book rather than a traditional celebrity memoir. “How to build a fashion icon is not just about fashion,” he explained. “The real fashion icon is you. Anyone can be their own icon, no matter what industry you’re in.” Each chapter weaves together celebrity anecdotes and practical style advice to help thrift shop enthusiasts. It highlights Roach’s inspiring journey from her early days as a hair stylist to her current status as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after stylists. This book promises to empower readers to embrace their individuality and redefine their style.
Roach’s career took a huge turn in 2010 when he met a young Zendaya. Recognizing her immense potential, he became her stylist and played a key role in shaping her iconic fashion sense. They have collaborated on countless award shows, red carpets and fashion campaigns, consistently pushing the boundaries and redefining style. “Zendaya and I started our fashion careers together. At the time, no one really knew us, so it was hard to get people to lend us clothes. I wanted to be more creative and a better stylist. I had to make my world smaller to have what I needed for her,” Roach recalls.
In addition to her upcoming book, Roach is launching a digital platform in November aimed at making the styling industry more accessible to aspiring fashion enthusiasts.
