Earlier this year, Meghan Markle gifted 50 jars of homemade strawberry jam to 50 famous friends to mark the soft launch of the Duchess of Sussex’s upcoming lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which will sell bird food, bath salts, yoga kits, dog shampoo, reed diffusers and more to Californians who haven’t yet gotten used to the thrill of strolling through the Cotswolds. (Think Montecito’s American Riviera Orchard, Tetbury’s equivalent of Highgrove Gardens.)
So far, the rollout has been cautious, with a single logo uploaded to Instagram two months ago, sparking a flurry of speculative articles based on trademark documents and even rumors of a Netflix series. But now the Duchess appears to be stepping up the pace, having been photographed wearing a £464 linen suit from Australian brand Saint Agni at the G9 business summit in the Hamptons alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern. (That is, the same brand that Markle wore to a post-match dinner at St. Bart Polo in April and on a trip to Nigeria the following month.) She paired the casually tailored set with oversized Heidi Merrick sunglasses, Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Princess Diana’s priceless Cartier Tank Française watch.

According to former royal butler Paul Burrell, Prince William initially wanted a Tank Française from his late mother’s collection, while Prince Harry inherited his mother’s sapphire engagement ring. The brothers then switched hands, and Markle, who appears to have similar tastes to Princess Diana, became the next heir to the watch when William was preparing to propose to Charles in 2010. After all, the Duchess had purchased a two-tone version of the Tank Française in 2012, with “To MM From MM” engraved on the back. “I intend to give it to my daughter one day,” she said in a past interview. “That’s what makes it special, because there’s a connection to it.”
