Francois oversees Summit Media’s urban and gospel programming

SummitMedia has appointed J’Michael Francois as Vice President of R&B and Gospel Programming. Francois joins the company from Cumulus Media, where he spent 18 years as Operations Manager and Multi-Station PD in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans clusters. During his tenure, he led KQXL-FM to become the #1 Urban AC in its market and WEMX-FM to become the #1 Urban Mainstream in its market. He also led programming for the cluster’s gospel station, WXOK-AM.
In this new role, he will oversee WAGG-AM in Birmingham, WBHK (98.7 Kiss) in Birmingham, WJMZ (107.3 JAMZ) in Greenville and WRKA (103.9 The Groove) in Louisville. Francois will also work on audience growth and engagement.
