The famous Blue Jacket Fashion Show continues to raise awareness for prostate cancer with its first ever Los Angeles (LA) Fashion Week event.
Founded by fashion designer Frederick Anderson, Blue Jacket Fashion Show has held eight fashion shows each year in New York City. This year will be the first West Coast show, with LA Fashion Week kicking off at W Hollywood on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

The Blue Jacket Fashion Show, sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, brings together top celebrities and media for a national conversation about men’s health and prostate cancer awareness in communities of color. The event will benefit ZERO Prostate Cancer, the nation’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated to prostate cancer advocacy, awareness, and patient support, and will raise awareness of Johnson & Johnson and support the prostate cancer community. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among American men and the second leading cause of cancer death in men. In 2024, approximately 300,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer and more than 35,000 men will die from prostate cancer. When it comes to prostate cancer, men of color are at higher risk.
The incidence of prostate cancer is approximately 70% higher in black men than in white men.
It is the most common cancer diagnosis among Latino men, with more than 22,900 cases diagnosed annually in the United States.
Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) men are more likely than white Americans to present with severe late-stage disease due to fewer screening and diagnostic opportunities.
For all men, having a father, brother, or family history increases the risk of prostate cancer.
