Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty makes Caribbean travel retail debut with Essence Corporation: Moody David Report

Barbadian singer and entrepreneur Rihanna has partnered with Essence Corporation to launch the Fenty Beauty brand across nine Caribbean islands, including her home country of Barbados. Fenty Skin is a vegan skincare brand that offers simple yet effective skincare solutions for all skin types.

Essence Corporation launched Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin and Fenty Eau de Parfum in nine Caribbean islands last week (October 24).

Fenty is owned by Barbadian singer/songwriter and entrepreneur Rihanna, and Essence Corp is the brand’s official distributor in the region.

The expansion includes both travel retail and domestic channels in Antigua, Aruba, the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Grenada, St. Maarten and St. Maarten, Trinidad and Tobago.

As reported, Avolta has introduced Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin and Fenty EDP fragrances to its Barbados duty free stores. Avolta has opened two Fenty Doors on the island. One is the main downtown store on Broad Street in Bridgetown, and the other is at Sunset Mall on the West Coast.

Rihanna commented on the launch: “To say we’re excited to bring Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin to the Caribbean is an understatement. It’s so special to be able to bring our brand to the place and people who started it all. .”

Fenty Beauty was founded in 2017 with a mission to celebrate inclusivity. The brand offers a variety of high-performance products that are suitable for all skin tones and types.

The brand’s Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation comes in 50 shades and is known for its moisture-resistant, transfer-resistant, long-wearing formula, perfect for warmer climates.

Fenty Beauty, launched by Rihanna in 2017, is known for its wide range of shades and high-performance makeup products.

Another hero product, Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer, offers a high-shine gloss in a cream, shimmer, shine, and plumping formula.

In addition to Fenty Beauty, this Caribbean launch will also introduce Fenty Skin, a clean, vegan and eco-friendly skincare line that offers simple and effective beauty solutions.

Inspired by the Caribbean and with ingredients like Barbados cherry and Kalahari melon, Fenty Skin is suitable for all skin tones and textures. Highlights include Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen, which provides an invisible SPF range, and viral Fenty Treatz Hydrated + Strengthening Lip Oils, which are enriched with hydrating fruit oils and vitamins. Rounding out the launch is Fenty Eau de Parfum, a warm floral scent with notes of magnolia, musk, tangerine and Bulgarian rose. The fragrance is housed in a sophisticated amber bottle.

Fenty Beauty is celebrating its Caribbean debut with celebratory events in the Bahamas and Barbados, including beauty talks and master artist classes. Notably, Priscilla Ono, Rihanna’s personal makeup artist and Fenty Beauty’s global makeup artist, will be leading the event in the Bahamas on November 1st and Barbados on November 6th. Customers can purchase tickets for each session, and each session can accommodate up to 150 guests.

Additionally, Fenty Beauty is expanding its support for the Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF), which Rihanna founded in 2012 in honor of her grandparents Clara and Lionel Braithwaite. With a focus on supporting Caribbean communities, Fenty Beauty’s additional investment will support CLF’s efforts in Barbados, including education, vocational training, cultural projects and climate change initiatives.
