No need for a jacket this year. Trick-or-treaters are in for a surprisingly warm Halloween in New Hampshire.
Forecasters expect temperatures to be near 70 degrees Thursday night, even after the sun goes down and trick-or-treaters flock to the city.
The warmest Halloween on record in New Hampshire was in 1946, when the temperature was 79°F.
Most parts of the country won’t see snow, ice or cold temperatures this Halloween, according to AccuWeather’s Paul Pastelok’s forecast.
“Overall mild weather is expected during the Halloween day, with some areas being very warm,” Pastelok said.

What will the weather be like in New Hampshire on Halloween?
Temperatures in Portsmouth are expected to be in the low 60s during peak Halloween trick-or-treating hours, according to hourly weather forecasts from the National Weather Service.
The NWS predicts a temperature of 68°F in Portsmouth at 6 p.m. The NWS predicts temperatures will drop to about 63°F by 8 p.m.
In Manchester, the NWS predicts temperatures will reach 70°F at 6pm on Halloween night, dropping to 64°F by 8pm.
In Concord, temperatures are expected to reach 69 degrees Fahrenheit at 6 p.m. on Halloween and 62 degrees Fahrenheit at 8 p.m.

Little ones waiting until dark to go trick-or-treating on Thursday night won’t have to wait long.
The National Weather Service’s Thursday forecast calls for sunset in Portsmouth at 5:36 p.m. It will set in Concord at 5:38 p.m. and in Manchester at 5:39 p.m.
