The manufacturer of packaging and distribution solutions for the beauty industry has achieved ISTA-6 Amazon certification from the Test Laboratory at its Chieti facility in Italy. This certification is part of APTAR’s “local for local” strategy and aims to create packaging solutions for its customers wherever possible.
Developed by the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA), the ISTA-6 certification is a set of rigorous testing protocols designed specifically for e-commerce packaging. We guarantee that the product is optimized for the performance of all distribution channels. This claim ensures that the product withstands the unique challenges of e-commerce delivery with the aim of reducing damage, minimizing returns and increasing end-user satisfaction.
Chieti Lab allows comprehensive testing to simulate real shipping conditions according to the Amazon ISTA-6 protocol. With its equipment, the beauty of APTAR can eliminate the need for extra packaging and overlapping, while verifying the resistance of packaging to transport and potential damage. Once these tests are completed successfully, you can use e-commerce-enabled claims for the final product.
“At APTAR Beauty, we understand that packaging is an important part of the brand experience,” said Luigi Garofalo, Global Category Director Personal Care and Home Care. “This is why we recognized our ability to invest in new cutting-edge equipment for our testing lab, obtain ISTA-6 certification, and perform advanced tests that meet the highest standards of e-commerce packages.”
Aptar Beauty is also an official participant in the Amazon Packaging Support and Supplier Network (Apass) program.
