Bright and breezy afternoon Warming trend this weekend Multiple chances for rain next week
(WIFR) – There’s a big difference compared to yesterday. Despite the increased sunshine, temperatures were nearly 25 to 30 degrees cooler. Northwest winds are blowing near 10 to 20 miles per hour, pushing cold air into the area. High temperatures this afternoon will be the coolest of the season, in the mid-40s.

Skies will remain mostly clear tonight as high pressure passes overhead. This system not only calms the wind, but it can also drastically reduce the temperature. We’re heading into a cold night, with lows expected to be close to 20 degrees.

As we move into Saturday, the low pressure system will move east and winds will likely shift back to the southwest. These winds will be very strong, with gusts reaching nearly 30 mph. This will start a warming trend over the next few days, with highs on Saturday in the low 50s.

What happens…
High temperatures on Sunday will rise into the mid 60s with a moderate mix of sunshine and clouds. It would be a great day to get outside, watch a baseball game, or hit the local golf course.
60’s Return Sunday (DJ Baker)
Temperatures are expected to rise gradually into early next week. I think we’re back in the 70s, and depending on the timing of Tuesday’s cold front, we could even get into the 80s.

Looking to the future…
That being said, that cold front could bring some showers and storms into Tuesday evening. This is a system we will be monitoring closely, as the combination of warm and slightly humid days could lead to severe storms. Don’t miss out on this opportunity, but just know that it will be on our radar over the next few days.
Storms possible on Tuesday (DJ Baker)
Question marks remain for the middle to end of next week. The models are a bit all over the place, as some are keeping us in low pressure, giving us the chance for multiple showers and storms in addition to cooler weather. However, some are suggesting that high pressure will develop in the middle of the week, ushering in some warm and comfortable weather. As with Tuesday’s storm, it’s still a little too early to know for sure what’s going to happen, but know that the forecast could change over the next few days.
