Helen’s top choice for outings in the UK this summer is the Peter Storm Weekend Jacket. Not only will it protect you from the rain, it’s lightweight and breathable, keeping you cool when the sun comes out and the temperatures rise again.

This coat comes in three colours, red, blue and green, and the striped Breton lining, visible at the hood and when worn open, gives it a chic twist on an easy-going look. It’s also fully waterproof and breathable, and features an adjustable drawcord toggle around the front that can be tightened to your liking, creating a flattering cinched waist.
The hood toggles can be pulled tighter around your face to stop the hood from flapping in the wind, and the fishtail back flares slightly for a better fit and fastens with a stud closure to prevent the hood from puffing up and getting wet. There are also two bellows pockets with press-stud flaps to keep pocket contents dry, plus an additional internal pocket. The jacket is available in sizes 8-20.
